A geographer, interested in human and regional geography, Anastasia Borosova studied at Lomonosov Moscow State University and at the Institute for Regional Geography in Leipzig as part of an internship focusing on socio-economic country studies and analysis of the growing global ramifications of human interactions. She believes that it would be difficult to overstate the importance of cooperation and joint efforts among all states in the management of international affairs for the maintenance of peace and security. Working with CCSI allows her to develop a deeper understanding of the practical aspects of the work of international bodies such as the UN Security Council, particularly the macro-economic and geopolitical effects of sanctions.
