Dong Yon Kim

Senior OSINT & IMINT Analyst


Dong Yon Kim is the Senior OSINT & IMINT Analyst (Senior Fellow) at the CCSI Global & the CCSI-APAC.
Mr. Kim has worked with the US Embassy Seoul in Public Diplomacy and used to work as an
International & Public Relations director of Korean Retired Generals’ NGO, KORGAD. Also, he was an
investigative journalist of Chosun News, and a former ROK Air Force Officer. Throughout his career and
education, he has accumulated his skills in OSINT and IMINT.
During his military service, Mr. Kim delivered multiple combined exercises/operations with the United
Nations Command, and went through the two major North Korea-driven provocations to South Korea:
mortar shelling of the YP-do, and the torpedo attack to the ROK Navy Vessel Cheonan.
In addition, he supported the General Assembly meeting of the Conseil International du Sport Militaire
(CISM/IMSC) in conjunction with the United Nations Organization Charter.
During his media career, he has investigated and reported exclusive stories about the North Korean
regime and some of his findings contributed to the United Nations Security Council Panel of Experts for
North Korea.
Dong Yon Kim has a Political Science B.A. from George Washington University and a Strategic
Intelligence M.A. from the Institute of World Politics.
